For example you’re going blind in a movie/show no idea what it’s about but you know it’s at least a sci fi movie, it starts off with a man clocking into his office job, looking at a picture of his dead wife and living his daily mundane life until about 30 minutes or the end of the episode in you find out the show is set in an apocalyptic world?
For me I don’t actually mind how long it takes because it always makes whatever the plot twists or reveal is more impactful but there are some times it drags on waaay too long that I don’t even stick around to find out what the show/movie is actually about
