Since the Chiefs’ SB blowout loss I’ve seen a surprising amount of people fully expecting Mahomes has another 10-15 more years in him, no question. Wasn’t just Chiefs fans coping either, fans from all over the league share the same sentiment.

Because Brady played well when he was 45 and definitely could’ve kept playing, many expect that to be the new normal, and I just want to dispell that notion with this post.

Brady is an anomaly who’s in the same realm as Jerry Rice, maybe even more than Rice to be honest, but that’s a different convo. They’re def in the same ballpark, and I’ll be making a post similar to this for Rice, but anyways, it’s time to think of Brady’s longevity the same way we view Rice’s for WRs.

We honestly might not see another QB or WR do what they did even if health and conditioning have vastly improved and continues to, too. And that’s okay, just enjoy the now, now because nothing is guaranteed, especially with how physical football is
