In my opinion, wouldn’t a 4-6 team playoff be the easiest path to a national title for underdog schools ?

think about this, in our current playoff, all you have to do is win 2 games to win the title.

in the new format to come, you will have to win what, 4 games ? do people actually think this is going to happen ? I agree, more football is a win and home and away playoff games will be fun, but seriously, when could you actually argue that any team ranked above 6 could win the national title ?

people want CFB to be the NFL but it never will be, the talent difference between the best team( take georgia for example ) and the 10th seed( let’s just throw utah in there ) is much larger than the chiefs talent difference compared to the bears or texans.

people then will want it expanded to 16 teams when the same big schools are competing for a natty.
