Last time this was asked, most of the answers were shows like Big Bang theory, which we all agree is garbage but panders to the lowest common denominator. In your opinion, what is the most recommended series people rave about to you and say they binged, but you watched it and just don’t get it? I’ll start:
Mine is Ozark. I finally finished the series after 3 or 4 attempts to finally make it through season 4. IMO it’s just discount breaking bad: Watch as a family gets sucked into the crime world and commits murder/other crimes he thought he’d never commit. Except Walter White’s transition to the dark side is way more well-written and compelling, and Ozark is very boiler plate to me. Just watched the series finale yesterday, and was yawning all the way to the end through Ruth’s death, which was supposed to be the big twist ending I guess. Most of my friends love this show, and it’s been recommended so many times. Eh?
