From 1996-98, Terrell Davis was 1st Team All-Pro RB every single year. He had 1500, 1700, He won OPOY in both 1996 and 1998, and MVP in 1998. He also won back to back SBs in 1997 and 1998, with 581 and 468 rushing yards in those postseasons, 2nd and 4th all-time respectively. When including postseason, these two were each the most rushing yards in a single season all-time, and have only been superseded by Saquon Barkley this year. They are also 5th and 9th most in scrimmage yards all-time, including playoffs. He also won SB MVP in 1997 with over 150 rushing yards and 3 TDs, and put up over 100 yards in the 1998 SB.

I think his mixture of Regular Season and Postseason dominance over this stretch makes it perhaps the best in NFL history, where he was clearly the best player in the league for 3 straight years. He set several records and was downright dominant in all 3 seasons. I think he clearly established himself as the best postseason running back in NFL history, and one of the best in general.

What do you think, what are some other stretches of sustained dominance in NFL history?

The first ones I think of are Brett Favre’s three-straight MVPs and Aaron Donald’s 7 consecutive AP1s jump to mind, but I don’t think they quite compare to the legendary shit TD was doing.
