I have noticed recently that several soap opera actors are breaking into more mainstream TV these days. For instance, I saw one doing a guest spot on the show S.W.A.T. and the most recent Matlock had another. There’s also been a couple who did Hallmark movies.
However, I remember that back in the 90s and early 2000s, this rarely ever happened. I believe Shemar Moore and Jensen Ackles were probably the only ones who managed to break into more widely known TV shows.
So it seems like this might be changing. Has anyone else noticed this?
