Sometimes I go back and watch certain scenes that I love from various shows, and whenever I get to Rome and watch Kevin McKidd/Ray Stevenson/Ciarán Hinds and others act I can’t help but think that this show has the best cast and acting that’s ever been put together. It also has a TON of amazing scenes that I just cannot wait to see. I’ve watched it more than 6 times I think and not only does it hold up, but out of all television series, I have the most fun watching those 2 seasons.
I know it’s not perfect in all regards, but the parts where it shines are spectacular. Caesar’s assassination scene for me is by far the most well done and realistic death scene in any series or movie, as an example.
Too bad they had to rush S2, which was still excellent.
People don’t seem to like this series as much as I do though, am I crazy?
