I’m pretty late to the party on virtually every show, but I finally caught the MQ lockdown episode. I’d seen it lauded, which is what led to me starting the series.

But holy smokes. I don’t think any other media has captured the vibe of uncertainty in the early pandemic. I didn’t watch the episode until 2025, but I’m not really sure anyone can capture the mood of that moment in history as authentically.

My own life/family situation was totally unrelatable to that of a single supersmart video game designer, but even 3 or 4 years later I felt like - Holy shit, I know exactly what she’s going through.

I really don’t know that global crisis will spawn for future generations. I’m not sure people who didn’t live through it will give 2 shits about what it was like to see the earth stand still. But so far that episode is the best portrayal of it
