That early 00’s era of HBO was amazing, too to bottom. Across that core handful or so of shows, it’s some of the best television ever made. IMO, the true golden era. Recently, on the YouTubes, I watched the final scene of Six Feet Under for the first time since it’s original airing. My lord, it’s still every bit as powerful as it was when I first saw it. We’re all passengers on the same ship here, all headed for the same destination. They couldn’t have wrapped that show up any better or more painfully. It makes me preemptively miss my loved ones and leaves me teary-eyed staring at nothing.
