Not sure if this is the right sub for this but my fiancé and I first met over The Detectorists, we both loved the show and it got us into metal detecting ourselves which has bought years of happiness since. We’ve rewatched the show a few times whilst we’ve been together and always seem to get something new from it 😊
Anyway, we thought it would be quite fitting if she could walk down the isle to the theme on our wedding day this August. As a cello player, she particularly likes some of the stirring instrumental sections used in the show. I’ve looked around and, whilst we also love the Johnny Flyn lyrics and singing, there doesn’t seem to be a purely instrumental version out there…
I don’t have the skills to record music from the show and cut it together into something cohesive (I think it needs to be about a minute long?) - does anyone know of a nice instrumental version we could play? We’d be happy to make a donation to the charity of choice of anyone who could help
