TL;DR - what are the resources and niche places to go to find out of print or “lost” TV shows, or research where to find them and what happened, etc?
So in regards to hunting for any given show, I think it’s way more difficult versus films. But with cinema, rights expire, and then you have stuff that is physical media, but no streaming, or streaming on some niche platform and nowhere else, or often there’s legit zero physical media, and no streaming due to rights issues.
But TV… there must be so much lost.
As for this show, nostalgia train full steam ahead, and this show was pure joy for me, and like an early form of pre-AFHV internet culture.
So there’s a few single uploads of tv’s bloopers and practical jokes on Youtube from UHF VHS recordings. There’s one or two recordings on the Internet Archive.
But I’d love to see all 5 seasons, binge in order, and just appreciate simpler times with silly stuff… most of you didn’t know we only saw a blooper or outtake on a show like this, and it wasn’t til the internet and DVD extras we’d see anything like what this show offered, especially the montages of local news people screwing up, etc.
Does the show exist anywhere, or what resources do you use to research and find info on rights, where it went, etc? THANKS ALL!
