Ive got no crystal ball here but I feel like this is amazingly short sighted.
You cannot buy an army with liquid cash payments. The slow ess of bureaucracy is what keeps mercenaries from seizing power.
If AI is to be the enforcer and not hired goons then you have a fun new problem. Either your AI is smart enough to turn on you, or it isn’t smart enough to protect you.

This video is about how the dictatorial ideas of guys like Curtis Yarvin are beeing implemented in front of us. It’s two months old and describes what is currently happening too well.

Why would billionaires care about capitalism? They have already amassed more money than they will ever need. They want to be Barons of new tech enabled fiefdoms where they extract rents from their subjects.
