If you actually reed the Disney earnings report, Disney+ actually gained 800k subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. The loss comes from international markets. Disney’s average revenue per subscriber also went up. Hulu also gained subscribers. In total, Disney+ and Hulu gained nearly a million subscribers.

What happened is some site only read the first page of the report where it says Disney+ lost 700k subscribers. Then the meme X accounts ran with it, too. The previous line of the report on the front page also says: “178 million Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions, an increase of 0.9 million vs. Q4 fiscal 2024.”
