Re-watching The Good Place now and am feeling like it might be a contender - it feels like every single episode moves the story forward significantly, and often every episode gives you insight into every single one of the characters.

My least favorite thing in the world is starting a new series and having to power through filler or monster of the week kind of episodes, even if it eventually hits a stride. And lots of long running shows have episodes people consider “skippable” - like the X Files or Buffy. A lot of shows have a good concept but no real ending in mind and kind of meander until they get there as long the ratings are still good.

What are some TV shows with the lowest number of filler episodes compared to the number of episodes?
