I can’t quite pinpoint why this show fell so flat for me. Part of it might be my expectations—everyone RAVED about this show so I was expecting to be blown away.
It felt very…surface level? And honestly not very romantic, at all? I wasn’t really buying their chemistry, and the dialogue was consistently over the top and not realistic. It failed the “show, don’t tell” test for me.
I loooove romcoms and am all for a fluffy flirty movie or show, but this didn’t hit the mark! I don’t expect everything to be a serious think piece either, but this was just not it for me.
Now that I think of it, it might’ve been better suited as a movie??
