Take the shows Dexter, Chicago pd and The Blacklist. All these characters live in the grey area of life and those are the areas that make you really think.
Dexter Morgan is a killer. But he kills bad people. He has a code. Does that make it right. Some people might say yes others might say no. It’s fascinating when a show can do that, ask you a simple question and add a couple of rules to see what your response is.
Same can be said with Hank Voight from Chicago PD and Raymond reddington from The blacklist.
Hank Voight is cop who bends the rules. But if it saves lives. Does that make it right or wrong.
Raymond Reddington the most wanted man. He commits all sorts of crimes. But if he keeps all the other corrupt people in check and maintains peace. Does that make it right or wrong.
Its always fascinating when a show can do that.
Any other characters I’m missing.
