There are many shows that I know are good but will probably never watch because I already know all the major plot details. What is that show/shows for you?
For me:
Gossip Girl: I already know Dan is Gossip Girl
Dexter: I already know Dexter’s wife is murdered, Deb ends up falling in love with Dexter and the show had an unpopular ending
Lost: I know everyone is dead
Game Of Thrones: Unpopular last season
Supernatural: I know the Angel and one (or both?) of the brothers die
How I Met Your Mother: I did watch this one but I went into it knowing the unpopular ending
Revenge: I know the Dad’s not dead
Grey’s Anatomy: I know Lexie, Derrick, and Mark die and that Alex leaves Jo for Izzy and surprise children
Killing Eve: I know Villanelle dies
Friends: Went into it knowing the they were on a break conflict, Chandler and Monica, Joey and Rachel, Richard, Emma, and the I got off the plane conflict
Stranger Things: Went into knowing Bob and Barb would die, a few years later my sister specifically requested to watch the Chrissy wake up show and knew every death and major plot point
Breaking Bad: I know Jesse’s girlfriend ODs ( I personally know I just can’t stomach watching that)
My Name Is Earl: I really want to watch this one but I know that the show ends with an unresolved cliffhanger and I don’t want to get too attached
And then there are other shows like Euphoria and You where I know every major plot-line. I started watching Arcane and I’ve barely dodged spoilers same goes for Severance, I don’t even have Apple TV but with season 2 coming up I keep seeing spoilers just from YouTube thumbnails.
I’m sure there are more shows that have been ruined or slightly tainted for me that I just have forgotten.
Is something you experience or am I just chronically online?

I watch shows knowing plot points going in, like with HIMYM, Stranger Things, and Friends. I find that there are very few times I’ve gone into a show completely spoiler free. Spoilers are disappointing but for the most part you can persevere. With sitcoms I find that knowing plot points is less of a big deal, I hate going into a drama knowing who will die especially if it’s the main character. I think what I’m saying is it ruins the initial watching experience a little bit, because twists like Severance: Innie Mark saying Ms Cobel, Gemma=Casey, Helly is an Egan is a twist that’s shocking and evokes emotions that your not going to feel going into it with knowledge, will you still enjoy the show sure but it might be ruined a little bit. Like being told The Good Place: is the bad place isn’t the same as experiencing it on screen. I’m not sure if I’m articulating my point well…and I do understand other people not being bothered by spoilers. I watched Charmed knowing full well Prue would die, its one of my favorite shows to this day but I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like to have been a viewer watching in real time.
I think for me I’m deterred from watching a show if I know how it ends, I know said ending is unpopular, I know who dies, show ends on cliffhanger. I really don’t want to get attached knowing they’ll die, or knowing The cliffhanger ending is never resolved.
I rewatch shows a lot for comfort, I’m more talking about what deters me from starting a show, or slightly ruins an initial watch.
Like I personally will never watch the Titanic because I know Jack dies but He could’ve fit on a door (?) and I don’t think I’m majorly missing out because I won’t watch Titanic.
Breaking Bad: it’s less about the plot point more knowing I’m going to be squeamish about said plot line.
