I am a grieving grandma who just lost a grandbaby due to serious medical complications she was born with. My daughter also has a toddler. She has been dealing with narcissistic abuse from the toddler’s dad. She fled from him once, had a fling, got pregnant, then went back to him shortly before angel grandbaby was born. He started his crap again, and they have been separated. He signed the birth certificate, even though he knew full well he isn’t the dad, in order to use it as a flex to try to control her further. Well, baby passed away after aspirating one night because of the medical issues she was born with. While the baby was still in the hospital, a woman who is a friend of abuser called my daughter and told her she deserved to lose her kids to CPS because she believes everything the abuser says. The only negative thing my daughter has said about her is she is disrespectful to her even though she has a child with abuser. She has admitted the woman takes good care of children in her charge, but she doesn’t want her daughter around someone who is hateful to her just because they believe his lies. She told abuser not to bring woman to baby’s funeral. I got there first. He tried to show up with her before my daughter got there. I said absolutely not is she coming in there because my daughter doesn’t want her there. Abuser called the cops on me. In the end, the cops made her leave, and my daughter got her wishes respected, and the cops ignored him when he asked to have me and my daughter’s best friend of 15 years removed as well. Am I the a hole for creating a scene at the funeral to keep said woman out to honor my daughter’s wishes?
