As an Auburn fan, teams added into the SEC will honestly make the season so much fun to watch. Who wouldn’t love to watch Texas play @ Jordan Hare? Or if it happens, FSU/AU face off? These are matchups that i would love to see annually and would make games so much more fun. Despite the loss of regional rivalries (mainly the BIG10+12) as an SEC fan i think it just makes better matchups and a far more interesting season and schedule. GT? Clemson? UNC? Virginia Tech? Bring it on. I also like the 12 team playoff because that is somewhere Auburn could consistently rank and make. As a fan of Auburn, and the SEC (where there are plenty of teams to expand to and stay regional), 2027 is a much better and more exciting year! Cheers to the future.
But also, as a fan of CFB as a whole, i see the downfall of losing some great rivalries and matchups, and also programs losing P5 status. Along with the chaos factor going to a decline with the playoff, it does seem sad. But you could also argue old rivalries could possibly come back (WVU, VT, Pitt, Syracuse, etc). It is all going to be crazy but i think the future, especially as a school with little to worry about, is going to be good. I like that i also don’t have to worry about going undefeated and being left out of the national championship again.
Anyways, 2007 or 2027?
