I’ve seen other schools try to claim a national championship after finishing the season undefeated even if they didn’t get a chance to play in the real national championship game. UCF did this most recently even though pretty much everyone clowns them for it and nobody actually recognizes it. So why didn’t Boise State try to claim a championship? Is it because it’s pointless?
