I very much enjoyed it when I watched it but the more I think about it them more meh it gets for me.
I mean it was entertaining for sure but it just did not stand out much from the average decent TV fare. Moreover it was very surface level and even cartoonish at times and even though I understand its a comic book show and its supposed to be pulpy but its also a show which is trying very hard to assert itself as something serious and I just did buy it.
The performances were okay but the characters felt like more like caricatures than actual people but I don’t think its the actor’s fault more of a flaw in how they are written. The only part of the show which was actually outstanding in my opinion are the flashback sequences which were surprisingly captivating.
I expected better from a show with an HBO orignal tag.
