Dark was not the German version of Stranger Things. What are other boneheaded marketing comparisons?

I kept seeing this back in the day. The shows could not be any different. (1) The main cast of Dark were in their late teens as opposed to 10, 11 years old. (2) Dark was anchored in the modern day as opposed to the 1980s. (3) Dark, is well, dark. It is so tonally different than Stranger Things.

Bait and switch marketing is the only reason for the comparison: tell fans Dark is like Stranger Things and they’ll stick around once they see how awesome Dark is in a non-Stranger Things kinda way.

Any other examples of this?
