The media since Florida’s rise in 2006 has been intolerable to listen to if you were a fan of any school outside of the SEC. In a world where bias and pre season rankings play a role in perception of how good a team is, it was undeniable that not just Alabama but the entire conference was given a benefit of doubt in “hypothetical” matchups. Alabama with saban was a behemoth of a program and that was undeniable. Another truth is in a game of inches, the game is any given Saturday or Sunday a team can win. In that same game of inches, the smallest edge determines win/loss and who gets into the championship and who doesn’t. That edge fairly or not was given to the SEC for nearly 20 years. The top schools from each conference are more even than the sports media would make you think. Just close your eyes and listen to the announcers call a game. Kanell and gus Johnson are pretty annoying with their bias of big ten but that sounds like every other announcer to us. Even yesterday in the ND Georgia game. You would have thought Georgia was winning, the announcer was refuting the rules specialist. Blaming the whole game on one penalty. It’s non sense. Seriously “it just means more”. Tell that to a notre dame fan, tell that to a buckeye fan, tell that to a Clemson fan, tell that to an Iowa fan, Arizona. Dude we all bleed our team colors. Hopefully espn stops their bullshit.
