I was at the auto parts counter getting some parts for my car. The gentleman who was helping me stepped to the backroom to get my parts and I noticed a big ass hat of a man berating the woman who was assisting him. She had on the counter an oil filter and two 5 quart jugs of oil.

AH: “Would you ask him” (pointing at a third associate) “if this is the same part as last time.” The lady associate confirms the year make and model of his truck, and says “Well, this is the part.” AH: Points at the other male associate. “Could you ask him, please?” A second lady associate comes and confirms with the AH the year make and model and that the part is correct. By this point I’m seeing red, my parts are ready, and as I gather up my parts I stare him down with all of the malice I can muster, holding eye contact until he looked away uncomfortably.

I asked the cashier (the third woman on shift at this parts store on that day) how often stuff like that happens, and mentioned I’d like to tune him up. She said it’s common then gave me a 10% discount for not being like AH.
