Even after Dick Clark died, I liked watching it because it had an undeniable energy that went on long after the ball drop.
I don’t know about this year. This year felt like a little bit of a misfire, especially with the musical acts.
It was engaging in fits and starts. But it felt like the show was beginning to lose steam going INTO the ball drop, and not after it.
One thing that I didn’t quite understand - why all the nostalgic acts? It’s one thing to have one or two. It’s another to have quite a few on the program.
Am I being too harsh here? What do you all think?
