Just a random thought experiment here. As the conferences turn into super-conferences, there’s going to be less and less room for out-of-conference play. This could turn conferences into de facto CFB Leagues, with a potential inter-league championship at the end of the year.

Assuming that’s the case, how do you market your conference to potential viewers who have lost their loyalty to a previous program? For example, if the ACC were to ever get Cal and Berkeley in the door, I think the general feel of the conference would be something like: “ACC - Where Athletes Can Also Be Students”.

Also consider how you could market AGAINST opposing conferences. For example: “SEC: It Just Means More (money and less education)”
