First - I just flat out object to it ending without resolving the story. The first season told a complete story - it was a full arc. This just ends mid-plot as a set up for S3 (I hate that). There was no resolution no real character development.
Second, everything that was shocking about the first season has been done already. The first season was so over the top, but yet so tense and gripping that it drew you in.
But now. . .we’ve seen it. The violence is certainly there - but the tension is not.
Third, I feel like we’re just repeating the same plot points instead of building on season 1. There’s the formation of alliances, the rivalries, the harvesting bodies subplot, the cop, the insider, the crazy lady. . . It’s just kind of rehash. . .
I want to like it - I still like the central character. I think his motivation feels real to me.
But overall, it’s just not grabbing me like S1.
