With only five episodes left in February, it’s fair to say that all of Zabka’s work on Cobra Kai, apart from the media circus, is probably done.
It’s just gotten me wondering, what’s next for him? It seems like the only significant role he’s had has been as Johnny Lawrence in the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai franchise.
Does he seem like the type of dude who may just retire? I’ve never seen him interviewed, so I have no idea how he feels about acting. Plus, he’s almost 60, so I can see why film studios may not see him as a bankable star.
If he was ten years younger, I could have seen him filling a Sly Stallone shaped gap as maybe an action story. Dude has got the moves! Hah, even Miguel helmed a superhero movie.
Otherwise, maybe Netflix will retain him for another show. I can see why they’d keep him around, even if he is cracking on a bit.
I only found out he was 60 while writing this post. I honestly can’t believe the dude is that old. The shit he pulls on Cobra Kai, jeez!
