I grew up an Oregon State fan because my dad went there. Then the UO gave me a full-ride scholarship and I ended up attending. Took me one year of stubbornly refusing to switch allegiances before I realized how lame college would be if I couldn’t root for the school I was attending. So I softened and started rooting for both.
Now when both teams play I usually find myself hoping good things happen for the Beavers since they so rarely do, but being totally fine if the Ducks win (which they often do).
Anyone else have this experience?
