This is not going to be a big deal to most people in this sub, but that's kinda the point.

Someone the other day reposted from r/collapse and it just made me grind my teeth to sit and peruse that sub. Tons of state-hate. I love Georgia so much. I've never lived anywhere else, but that's my point. If you're going to sit and bitch about a state you didn't grow up in, honestly just fuck off. Get a hobby. Volunteer at a soup kitchen if you're so concerned about locality. If you're from New York, California, etc., I don't expect you to fully grasp what Georgia's pitfalls are, much less our strengths, which is fine. Nobody asked you to.

Also, 11th in both infrastructure and fiscal stability? Fuckin holler back. Look, I'm critical of government spending, I promise, but my point is that our state ecosystem obviously isn't dictated by racists and aporophobics. Notice I didn't say "rednecks" because rednecks are not destroying society. They are society, man.

I guess my libertarian bent here is that, per usual, folks don't fully appreciate local wins as much as they might claim. If you think the federal government can solve all your problems, go live in DC. You're gonna love it. I mean hate it.

All I'm saying is there are apparently 32 states in the Union that technically can't talk shit about Georgia.

PS, not totally sure this is going to count as on-topic, but I didn't know where else to go :-) Anyways, love you guys.

PPS, is there a libertarian version of "comrade"? I just honestly envy commies for getting to use that word. I was thinking maybe we could try "cohabitants" to capture the idea that you don't have to like your neighbors or give them free stuff in order to get along with them.
