So, I liked a clip of Lois Lane in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman on YouTube. I went through a couple of episodes and it’s amazing. The chemistry between Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher is so good that I think it’s better than anything I have seen in the Superman movies. Superman also seems more multi-dimensional in this. The dialogues are good and witty. Lois Lane is especially very good. The show has a heart. It makes me wonder about two things.

1- Why did I never hear about it and why is it only rated at 6.7 on IMDB? Does the quality dip too much in later seasons? So far, it seems like a 7.5 show at worst.

2- I have a rule of thumb where I hardly try any series that is rated lower than 7.5 unless I hear very positive reviews from a friend or on Internet. This makes me wonder if there are other shows with similar rating that I should try out.

What’s ironic is that I tried Smallville a few years earlier and found the pilot very weak in writing, so never went ahead despite it being the more popular Superman show.
