Looking back at 2014, it’s truly incredible how many heartbreaking losses seemed to happen in a chain in the NFC.
In the Wild Card round, Detroit loses to the Cowboys on a heartbreaking, controversial overturned PI call.
The Cowboys move on to face Green Bay, and karma strikes as they fall to the Packers due to the infamous Dez Bryant non-catch.
This curse gets placed on the Packers as they head to Seattle for the NFC Championship Game, where they take a promising lead by halftime, and famously blow it in the last few minutes of regulation, with Brandon Bostick blowing the onside kick return and allowing Seattle to come back and win in overtime.
Seattle moves on to face New England in the Super Bowl, and we all know what happened at the end of that one.
I just found it interesting that these infamously climactic games all seemed to occur in a “chain,” and all four fanbases continue to be heartbroken over each of these 2014 losses to this day.
