This was a horror anthology series created by George A. Romero it blended creepiness and sometimess silliness and more dark themes into one package and you never knew what type of story you would get from week to week, one episode has an obese woman being tormented by talking vegetables. I would liken the show to goosebumps for an older crowd, it was syndicated in the U.S. so it would be shown at different times of the day across the U.S. in my area it was shown late at night and I didn’t get to watch it till Sci Fi channel aired the show in reruns. Every episode began with this creepy opening with a narrator talking about the contrast between light and dark and every episode would end with him saying enjoy going back into the light.

My first real introduction was Tales From the Darkside the movie which hit theater’s around 1990 or 91 and was a modest hit, there was supposed to be a sequel but it was never made. The show itself was pretty low budget but it had some cool effects and makeup work. At one point CW made a pilot for a revival of the show but later passed on it. I thought the show and movie were great myself and liked how darkly humorous it sometimes was.
