Hi friends.

I have a very exciting opportunity to possibly work as a health care assistant at Planned Parenthood. I have gone all the way through the interview process and it seems like they like me. I have been asked to shadow an abortion day tomorrow to “make sure I can handle the process and flow of patients.”

I am not here to downplay the mental and emotional toll that actually having the abortion takes on a person whatsoever. I am just nervous about the job shadowing in general – the protesters, watching the procedure (I don’t have any clinical experience yet at all, I just graduated from college 3 months ago), and dissecting the products of conception (POC) at the end.

Any words of advice, especially from healthcare professionals, would be awesome. Thanks!
