As an American we are taught to believe the the Oscar is the pinnacle of achievement in acting or whatever. What Award is on the level of the Oscar in different countries like the Palm De Or?

  I know about Český Lev (Czech lion). It certainly isn’t on the level of Oscar but when I see a movie won Český Lev then I know it should be good
