“In 2022, preliminary infant mortality data from the Texas Department of State Health Services showed a 21.6% increase in infant deaths caused by severe genetic and birth defects.”

I need you to think this through with me. In only one year, 22% more babies died? How?! These pregnant women found out their baby had a genetic abnormality. That their baby could not survive outside the womb. Maybe this happened a few weeks into the pregnancy, but that didn’t matter. They were forced to carry that baby for nine full months. Growing bigger. Buying maternity clothes while mourning. People asking when they’re due, asking to touch their bellies. Asking if it’s a boy or a girl, asking about a baby shower. And then they were forced to contract and labor and birth that baby. And then they were forced to hold that baby in their arms and watch it die a horrible, choking death. And there was nothing they could do.

22% more in the last year. If you can accept that, I’m not sure I would label you “pro-life”.
