So an actor has started work on a new show Show B either regular or recurring cast or are in between looking for roles. The writers of Show B are fans of the actor’s Show A/may have worked on Show A before working on the current show B. They ask said actor if they are willing to reunite with his castmates in Show A for an episode or acene in Show B and if the executive producer approves, they incorporate a plot that includes Show A’s cast running into their old castmate in Show B either as different characters or reprising their old roles via a dream sequence or a subtle nod for fans of the old series. Best example is Kelsey Grammer from Frasier as the titular villain Sideshow Bob. As he made more appearances on the show, they were able to tap in David Hyde Pierce as his brother Cecil in Brother from Another Series and later the rest of the cast in Funeral for a Fiend as his family. So what is your favorite instances of cast members from one series guest starring in another series as a form of reunion (can be an episode or could spread throughout the series such as Last Man Standing’s episodes that brought back Tim Allen’s old family and friends on Home Improvement)?
