I’m rewatching Lost (I think 4th or 5th time) and it’s an incredible as ever. It’s one of the GOAT shows imo and is honestly timeless in its themes and characters.
One of the things that really elevates the show to the level it’s at is Terry O’Quinn. I really think his performance as Locke is one of the best I’ve seen in any show. It’s such a complex, multifaceted role, and the way he portrays Locke’s development, from his pre-island to island to post-island and beyond versions, is impressive as hell. Locke’s life is the ultimate tragedy in how he has the things he values the most taken away from him time and time again, and Terry O’Quinn lays it so well. He sells every aspect of it, every smile, triumph and bout of anger and rage.
It really wows me no matter how many times I watch the show. Lost is obviously full of wonderful performances - Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, Elizabeth Mitchell, Harold Perrineau etc., the list goes on - but Terry O’Quinn is really on another level.
