After an incredibly boring rivalry weekend where nothing exciting happened, we know everyone is eager to welcome their team’s new talent who will totally turn everything around next season. As National Signing Day is coming early this year, we wanted to clarify expectations and remind everyone of some recruiting post guidelines that will keep this as seamless as possible.
- Standalone signing day posts of recruits who already have commitment posts are not permitted. Information about their signing belongs in that commitment post or in the megathread that will be posted that morning. More information about how to discuss signings will be included in that megathread.
- Standalone posts are permitted for recruits who flipped from their initial commitment to a new school on signing day. These should follow typical post guidelines for flips and their signing day photos can count as a source as long as the new school is clearly represented.
- New commitments or decommitments are permitted as standalones as long as they follow typical post guidelines.
- Related news, such as NIL deals, twitter fights between a recruit’s parent and a coach, or a recruit writing a 30-page manifesto on how they will win the Heisman, belongs in the megathread, not as a standalone post.
The megathread will be running all day, so feel free to drop your photos and hot takes there to your hearts’ content. Happy National Signing Day to all those who celebrate, and you’ll get 'em next year to those who don’t.
