Im currently watching through House MD for the first time (i’ll be finishing the final episode tonight) and it has floored me how this show ends its seasons. The buildup to very single ending of a season feels like it is the most chair gripping television I’ve ever saw, with the last 2-3 episodes of each season just being like a massive roller coaster.
People often say this show follows a very basic formula (it does) but then you go to these episodes where it completely breaks the formula and it makes me want to launch myself into the next season immediately. How this show only won two primetime emmy’s is incredible. I’ve never saw a show end its seasons so well with such unique directing and writing that breaks the normal formula that the show has set.
