For context- I (17f) have 2 little siblings (6 and 4) who I love to death, but for the last few years they have had a bad habit of waking up in the middle of the night and getting in my bed to sleep.

I have expressed multiple times they I’m getting tired of them being in my bed and that they make it hard to sleep/get quality sleep. My parents have tried to remedy this by getting me a full bed instead of a twin, but it does little to actually help. What’s more frustrating, is that on the occasion my sister decides to sleep in their room, they have a mattress on the floor for her to sleep on.

I can’t just shut my door because my siblings will just open it, and I’m not allowed to lock it and about once a week my dad will just look at me and say “they’re sleeping in your room tonight.” And I get no choice. (If I protest I get in trouble)

Lately I’ve gotten horrible sleep and it’s effecting my school, mental health, and over all life, and it’s because I can’t get one night of sleep without someone in my bed.

So WIBTA if I asked them to take my siblings at night?

EDIT: my parents are not abusive. They have been circumstances that I will not explain here for various reasons. My parents are doing the best they can, and aside from this and a few other issues I am perfectly happy with my life.

I’m planing on talking to my mom and dad about this tonight. I’ll update when we’ve talked.
