But seriously: is it different? I mean the angle obviously isn’t but there is no light pollution and no atmosphere so at least it clearer, right? Is there another effect at play?

There is still an atmosphere, it’s just not as thick. Light pollution is probably one of the bigger differences, as well as there being a lot more CO2 meaning that the absorbed wavelengths will be different.
