Original Title: Gabe Williams, freshman LB for VT, was badly injured during the VT-Clemson game just over 2 weeks ago. His father suffered a stroke and aneurysm due to the trauma of watching his son be taken off the field via ambulance and is now in a medically-induced coma.

My previous post was removed for including a link to a fundraiser for Gabe’s father’s medical bills. However, I believe that Gabe and his family deserve all the support and prayers and positive vibes in the world after this tragedy and so here I am again.

Gabe Williams played a huge role in hyping up and recruiting other high school players for VT during this past offseason, and is greatly loved by the VT community. He was injured at the end of the VT-Clemson game on November 9 (his first time ever playing as a collegiate athlete) and had to be transported off the field via ambulance. His father suffered a stroke and aneurysm due to the trauma of witnessing this event and is still in a medically-induced coma to this day.

Gabe has been such a positive light during the offseason and current season and I am so so so sad that this happened to him and his family. Please take a moment to consider at least sending a prayer or positive thoughts his family’s way.
