Some highlights include that the administration's position on banning from social media is that you should be banned from all of them for "misinformation" instead of just one and that the administration is telling social media platforms what to ban. This, of course, is being said openly in the context of the administration casting all manner of political opposition, including those with "anti-government ideology," as terrorists.
Part of me reads this as the inevitable culmination of secular trends in governance, and another part of me reads this as the death rattle of the credibility of the government. We have reason to be scared for the future, but their actions suggest that they are scared themselves. What do you make of all of this?
