This will probably get buried but fuck it. As a Wazzu alumni and diehard Coug fan, I just had to say that this sub has been awesome. Fuck the suits that run college football. All of 'em. Fuck ESPN, Fox, Larry Scott, George Kliavkoff especially. They can eat a bag of dicks.
But you guys, the fine folks of /r/CFB have me wildly convinced that we could run this sport better than all of them and it wouldn’t be particularly close. Regardless of team or conference affiliation, almost everyone seems to have a vested interest in the tradition and regional aspect of college football.
But more importantly, in this time, where us and our Beaver bros are being left out of every. single. expansion. conversation, you all have been so damn welcoming and refreshing. Every conversation I’ve had with anyone on here who roots for a team in any major conference has expressed that they’d be thrilled to have us join them.
It’s worrisome out here for us. Worried about the town of Pullman and it’s residents in all of this, same for Corvallis and OSU, and you all have helped at least this Coug fan feel wanted, even appreciated via some of the Wazzu memories shared by opposing fanbases here.
So enough rambling, but thanks guys. We need the pick me up right now.
