If you are dealing with a disease it's important to not try to cure it before you put effort into understanding it. Otherwise you risk making it worse. Critical Race Theory is a blight on mankind. At the basis of it's belief system is the Marxist Utopian cult.

Like all Marxist-related cults at it's core is a philosophy of Praxis. From their perspective theory and practice are the same.. For a Marxist you can't have a theory that does not involve action. That is one of the major distinctions that they believe makes their "theories" and "science" real, or higher level, then "simple" or "base" science as practiced by normal society.

This is one of the major difference between Marxist Philosophies and other Western theories like conventional economics. Were proper academics and theorists use science and research to gain understanding of how the world works. Marxism is obsessed with the gaining and use of political power in order to reshape the world to match their Utopian visions. The only thing they care about is their Utopian vision, which is all the understanding they care to have.

Praxis, to a Marxist, is a blueprint on how to gain power, retain power, and reshape the world into suit themselves and their utopian visions.

This is critical to understanding the "theory" in "critical race theory".

One of Modern CRT's major antecedent religious texts is a paper published in 1965 by Herbert Marcuse called "Repressive Tolerance"

Marcuse is from the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory. These are a group of people that formed the basis of Neo-Marxism.

Neo-Maxists were "critical" of Marxism because they sought out to understand why Marx's theories didn't work. In Hegelian fashion they sought to alchemically combine Maxism with modern theories of Psychology to destroy both and yet to create a more purified form of both so they could gain greater understanding of the world.

The predicted people's revolutions never happened. Marxists believed that workers would grow increasingly despondent under the weight of Industrialized society and thus the industrial centers of the world, New York/Paris/London/etc would erupt in a wave of glorious revolution. However this never happened. Marxist revolutions only happened in economic backwaters.. mostly preindustrial societies such as Czarist Russia or early 20th Century China.

The paper "Reppressive Tolerance" is one of the most important seminal works that ever came out of the Frankfurt school. It is referenced in countless academic papers, which are then themselves are reference material for modern CRT papers. Without this paper it is very likely that modern CRT would not exist.

Repressive Tolerance is a rejection of everything and anything to do with the idea of Western Liberal thinking around the idea of "Tolerance" and related concepts like "Freedom of Ideas" and "Freedom of Speech". It is a rejection of the Civil Rights movement.

Remember that to these people theory and practice are one in the same, so their "theory" is that any tolerance by society that creates more liberty for individuals is a movement away from the sort of repression and intolerance that is required to trigger Marxist revolution. Thus tolerance and understanding is a weapon used by western society against Marxism, or "true" freedom.

That when society uses Capitalism to create peace, prosperity, and contentment among workers and increases the standard of living for all people then this is evil and repressive because only through revolution can true liberation be achieved. Lazy, happy people who are content to live their lives and focused on the things they find fulfilling and enjoyable are antithetical to sort of social basis of agitation that is required for socialists to take over.

So to have true tolerance you have to oppress and repress. You have to destroy people's ability to communicate freely. You must force them to focus on any misery of their lives and amplify any injustice in their minds to get them to want to break down and destroy the social systems that they depend on.

That any speech or action towards the "right" is by definition "evil" and deserves a violent repression no matter how peaceful or well meaning it is. And any speech or action towards the "left" (only "true" left is Maxism to these people) is by definition "good" and should be protected and tolerated no matter how violent that action would be.

Only through this repressive intolerance can "real" tolerance happen. Only through making people miserable can "true" happiness be found.

Read it, understand it. The world we live in now is being shaped by these ideas. This is why people looting and burning down small businesses are tolerated and explained away as just examples of free expression while "right wingers" and being excommunicated from any and all forms of social media for the slightest infraction against politically correct rules of expression.

On New Discources podcast youtube channel there is a 4 part series where James Lindsay reads Repressive Tolerance and breaks down it's finer points. It is a very good primer on gaining a deeper understanding of the modern descendants of Marxism, such as Critical Race Theory.
