Welcome to week 11 of the r/NFL Power Rankings! In one of the most lopsided years in recent memory, all teams with three or fewer wins this week lost. The Cowboys lost by their usual three scores, but the Jaguars and Falcons were outscored collectively 12-90. The Packers and Bears aired a rerun, as well as the Steelers and Ravens. The Bengals are doing something unique, with a remake of the 2014 Saints. At least Detroit has quality writing this season. What will Kansas City do now that they can’t coast? Discuss! 31/32 Reporting

# Team Δ Record Comment
1. Lions +1 9-1 The Lions set a number of team and individual offensive records on Sunday, routing the Jaguars 52-6. Jared Goff led the Lions to a touchdown on every single drive he played, finishing with 412 passing yards and 4 touchdowns, along with FOUR RUSHES FOR 21 YARDS ON THE GROUND ??? Feels like a good time to remind people that Goff’s 40 yd dash time was only .02 seconds slower than Mahomes’. Going into the fourth quarter Goff was outrushing Etienne, and only finished 6 yards behind him on the game. ARSB and Jamo both set career highs in receiving yardage in a game, with St. Brown extending his consecutive games with a TD streak to 8. The defense did about what you’d expect them to do to a Mac Jones led offense, holding the Jaguars to a couple field goals along with picking them off once to keep their TO streak alive. With the Chiefs loss, the Lions are now co-owners of the best record in the NFL, and have become odds-on favorites to win the Superbowl in a number of sportsbooks. What a time to be alive. Shoutout the dude at Ford Field who leads the fight song after every score—I hope you had a nice cup of hot tea with honey and lemon after the game because you were a busy man on Sunday.
2. Bills +1 9-2 “The Bills haven’t beaten anyone good,” I think it’s safe that the narrative is dead after the Bills picked up a massive win over the reigning Super Bowl champs. Where do you even begin? The storylines are endless. Let’s start by setting the scene after a letdown of a boxing event (who could’ve predicted that) between Jake Paul and 58-year-old Mike Tyson, America was clamoring for a true battle between 2 goliaths and the Bills-Chiefs certainly delivered. This game was peak entertainment from the beginning when Tayor Rapp rose to the occasion to pick off Mahomes and deliver momentum to the home squad. From there on Mahomes and Allen dueled it out for 3 quarters and 12 minutes until Allen broke the game open with his x-factor that (Mahomes doesn’t possess) his combo of speed and strength. With 2:27 on the clock on 4th and 2 Josh Allen, delivered the play of the year on a 26-yard touchdown rush touchdown on which he put his body on the line. I can’t even begin to describe how impressive the play was so I’ll leave the link here . With a real shot of claiming the coveted 1 seed in the AFC, the Bills will enjoy a much-deserved bye before battling with another participant in last year’s Superbowl in the Niners.
3. Chiefs -2 9-1 I’ve been in the hospital all day with heart complications. The doctor told me I’m not in any immediate danger but they’re confused as to why it’s doing whatever it’s doing. It’s not actually confusing though, I’ve just watched the Chiefs for the last 30 years. The Chiefs don’t have good enough corners to only be able to get pressure with cb blitzes. Mahomes is also going to have to start hitting Worthy in stride. The kid is getting wide open 40 yards down the field every game and they’re rarely connecting. Some of that is on Worthy but Pat should be making it catch and run touchdowns not toe drag saw for a gain of 45. Fortunately starting soon the team should have several key pieces back to help them on their winning ways.
4. Steelers +1 8-2 The Ravens and Lamar Jackson’s woes against the Steelers continued on Sunday, while adding Justin Tucker to the mix of players being flustered as of late. While it was not the best day for either team, the implosion of the Ravens was really the story of the day. From unforced errors on penalties, to turnovers, to missed kicks, to Jackson making poor decisions, the Ravens were their own worst enemy. Which was good for the Steelers, because aside from some critical forced turnovers, they did not have it that day. The O-line was leaking like a sieve and the 3rd down conversion rate was abysmal. While the Ravens were also just God-awful on 3rd down, they were decidedly less worse. Odafe Oweh was a nightmare for Russell Wilson, who was bracketed in his own pocket by very substandard blocking. That said, a win is a win and a win against a contender is a requisite step in a postseason run. And make no mistake, the Steelers are now a contender and control their own destiny for the #1 seed. Even if Buffalo and KC win out, if the Steelers beat KC, they own all of the tiebreakers.
5. Ravens -1 7-4 I’ve truly done my best to be as objective and level-headed in my game breakdowns this year. With that in mind, forgive me for the absolute wall of salt and bitching you’re about to read. FUCK THE MOTHERFUCKING GOD DAMN PITTSBURGH FUCKING STEELERS. Those fucking jagoffs haven’t had a better roster than the Ravens in damn near 8 years yet the Ravens haven’t won a meaningful mid-late season game against Pittsburgh in basically a fucking decade. Last year the Ravens left their hands in Baltimore with the most drops I’ve ever witnessed in a single NFL game in a quarter century of watching the sport. This year the Ravens handed the Steelers the ball deep in their own territory twice, Justin Tucker decided to do his best Billy Cundiff impersonation, and the offensive line thought it would be hilarious to have every drive feature at least one back breaking boneheaded fucking penalty. “You’re not a Raven until you beat the Steelers”. Well, they better fucking fold the team and join the CFL because at this point there isn’t enough “Ravens” left to field an NFL roster. “I hated them. I still hate them, because I keep thinking about the games we lost against them, I’m like, ‘Bro, how did we lose?’” -Lamar Jackson when talking about the Lauderdale Lakes Vikings Pittsburgh fucking Steelers.
6. Eagles +1 8-2 The Eagles are 8-2, slightly past the midpoint of the season, so let’s give the team four midseason awards: Award #1: The “Uh He’s Right Behind Me, Isn’t He?” Award goes to the schedule for the next few weeks. Far from a murderers row of opponents, but much harder than the last several weeks. Coming up, the Birds have the Rams, Ravens, Panthers, and the Steelers, three teams that can beat anyone, and also the Steelers. Time to see if they can avoid the slide from last season. Award #2: The “Thank God for Saquon” Award goes to Howie Roseman. Make one good decision, and it will cover up a few of the bad ones. Dotson, White, Huff? Those names don’t matter when you sign an offensive cheat code (and sure, Baun has been great, but reports are that was more of a Fangio pick). Award #3: The “Split the Trophy in Half” award goes to Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean for both being top 5 in DROY odds. It’s probably Jared Verse’s to lose at this point, but the Eagles secondary has looked better than it has in many years with the inclusion of these two. Award #4: The “I Know What the Fuck I’m Doing” Award: oh! In a surprise twist, this one goes to Vic Fangio, not Nick Sirianni. Sure, Sirianni’s team is undefeated since their bye, but the unit that has come alive has been Uncle Vic’s. Is some of this a result of opponent? Sure, but the Eagles held rookie phenom Jayden Daniels to 10 points before a garbage time TD on Thursday night. By many metrics, they’re one of the best defenses in the league. Going into the year, the thinking for this roster was: if the defense is average, the offense will win them many games. Through the first 10 games, it looks like that script is flipped, with the offense being a bit streaky and the defense keeping the team in their games.
7. Vikings -1 8-2 You wouldn’t know it from the stat line, but Sunday’s victory against the Titans was Sam Darnold’s highest-graded game of the season – Darnold was precise (accurate on 30/32 attempts), on time and able to create something out of nothing multiple times to keep drives alive despite some drops and pressures. The Vikings’ run game continues to struggle, averaging just 2.6 yards per carry on Sunday plus a lost fumble on a mishandled pitch, but any offensive hiccups continue to be smoothed over by Brian Flores’ elite box-of-scraps defense, with household names like Harrison Phillips, Jonathan Bullard and Jerry Tillery helping keep the Titans’ RBs to just 15 rushing yards all game, while guys like Andrew Van Ginkel and Patrick Jones II racked up multiple sacks. Somehow, someway, this merry band of misfits is 8-2 – not bad for a team ESPN predicted to finish with the worst record in football just a couple months back!
8. Packers +1 7-3 There are no easy divisional games! There are …
