I really don’t get it. USC is a blue blood program that is in the middle of a recruiting hotbed with a very rich donor base, but in the 2010s Oregon and Washington outclassed them by becoming the only Pac schools to make the college football playoff. USC is a program that should be mopping up California recruiting (especially with quarterbacks), yet most of the elite recruits from California end up going to SEC schools (Bryce Young and Nico come to mind).

They’re obviously trying. They hired Lincoln Riley but they’re regressing from season to season.

Why has USC underperformed and how can they be fixed and become a national recruiting destination again?
