This year, Cal Athletics has taken to placing large subwoofers and speakers on the eastern side of the stadium and playing loud piped in music. There have been repeated complaints all year from season ticket holders, and now the current director of the Cal Band. The Athletic Department is well aware of these complaints, but has continued using them. It has gotten to the point where it is louder than 100 decibels in multiple games.
A home field advantage is one thing, but damaging people’s ears is ridiculous.
