It randomly struck me that now we’re gonna have teams who end up winning a first round game and going out in the second round (aka the named bowls) so like… are teams gonna hang banners/make rings of this?

No one blinks an eye at a Fiesta Bowl or Cotton Bowl win commemoration, whether it be a CFP game or a NY6 bowl game. But “CFP Playoff Round 1 Winner” just feels like it’ll be a “yeah we lost!!” banner if you have a history of winning a lot of bowls. But of course… CBB has shown there’s a history of doing this for Round of 64/32/whatnot winners.

For Rutgers, we’d absolutely commemorate just making it to the CFP after 154 years of suckitude, let alone winning a game. But for a school like Michigan or anOSU? I really don’t know what they’d do.
